[Canon] Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus

[Background] http://camphalfblood.wikia.com/wiki/Calypso
[Personality] Calypso has withdrawn into herself in her isolation. The “young” immortal has been hurt several times throughout her time on Ogygia and has taken to guarding herself from being hurt by withdrawing and being cautious. The Gods send heroes to her to be cared for and healed… But eventually, they all must leave her. Calypso tries her hardest to pull away because she cannot help but fall in love with the heroes they send her, but she always fails.
She nurtures the heroes back to health, showing them kindness like she did with Percy. She wants to make sure they know she cares for them, even though she knows full well what the Fates have in store for her. How could she not, after all, when she’s suffered this punishment for thousands of years old? She wants to show them that if they were to accept her offer of staying, they would not regret it. She feeds them, offers them help and cures their ailments and injuries. To others, Calypso comes off as shy and quiet. This is part of her front, part of her attempt to keep people at bay as she’s been left a few too many times. Percy noted that she constantly stopped herself from enjoying her time with him while he was on the island, pulling away right when she was starting to have fun or smile. It was easier for her to distract herself with her gardening and various hobbies than to become attached to yet another hero.
Her visitors may find her naive in the sense that she has never once left Ogygia, which was her birthplace, and that she knows very little of the outside world. She is in a time forgotten, untouched by technology. Her visitors only ever consist of stranded heroes and a few of the Gods if they’re particularly bored. She only knows of Manhattan and its lack of gardens because Percy told her about it during his stay.
Calypso is loyal to her family, to a fault nearly. She supported Atlas, her father, in the First Titan War and for that reason she accepts her punishment to remain on Ogygia with no regrets. Family is important and even if she knows they are wrong, she brings up a point to Percy, wondering if he is loyal to the Gods because they are good or because they are family. Still, having learned her lesson and given the time to think over what’s good and what’s worth standing up for, Calypso is stubborn almost to a fault when it comes to standing her ground. Gaea offered to bring Percy back to her if she got rid of Leo… Calypso did not agree to this, as she hates being told what to do. It brings out the even more stubborn streak in her.
Percy had promised her that the Gods would get her off the island after the Second war, and when they failed to do so, Calypso became bitter and angry. When Leo was sent to her, she was hostile to him at first, irritated by his very presence. It was just another way for the Gods to get back at her. To send her someone so irritating and annoying that she would never be rid of him. That she would be stuck with his company forever. She did not show Leo the same kindness she had with Percy and other heroes and often threw small tantrums when he was particularly irritating.
Despite her shy exterior, she is an immortal who will firmly stand her ground and isn’t afraid to snap or make smart remarks when irritated, as is displayed with most of her interactions with Leo. Still, she does take care of him despite it all, bringing him fresh clothing and healing his wounds… Swearing to find a way off the island for him when Gaea threatens him. She made a poor decision on who to side with in the First Titan War, she was not going to make the same mistake twice.
[Abilities]
Percy notes that Calypso has a beautiful singing voice, in addition to the quality of her tone, it can heal injuries and soothe those she is directing it to. In game, she will not be able to heal so easily nor very often, as it will drain her energy. She’s an exceptional gardener and often uses her vegetables that she grows to make fresh food. She likely has a green thumb thanks to her powers, but would still be able to manage this knowledge without them.

[First Person]
[For a few moments, there is a young woman fiddling with the device, almond eyes wide with curiosity as she finally figures out just how to use it. Pressing her lips together, she stares for a few very long moments before looking away.]
This place.. It does not look to be thriving as it should. It is a far cry from my island back home. What has happened, if I may ask? I thought dreams should reflect the brightness in life and nightmares the darkness. This does not seem to be like any dream I’ve known in my life.
[Brushing hair from her face, she chews on her lip and looks back at the feed.]
I don’t suppose I could bother someone for a little more information on this place? It’s been a long time since I’ve been around so many people, to be perfectly honest.
[Third Person]
At least it wasn’t her island. It was as far from her island as she could imagine. Desolate buildings, emptying streets. It pained her to see a place such as this, or any place in this state. Calypso was used to her green meadows and comfortable caverns. She was used to her wind servants catering to her whim, bringing her what she needed when she needed it. She was used to only one person as company…
She was now stuck in a dream city with considerably more than one person for company. Had Leo managed this somehow? She didn’t want to get her hopes up, as she wandered the streets in her white gown, cinnamon hair braided to the side… and no shoes. If this had been his doing, he’d have found her right away, wouldn’t he have?
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] It will give Calypso the chance to get off her island and interact with more people than just the heroes the gods have sent her. She’s not used to dealing with people, but I think that she’d acclimate pretty quickly here and be able to make friends.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] “Be nice to other players” still: Nothing turns me from a game more than player drama.
[Any questions?] Nope.
